mi gente!

What up kids!

I am leaving Villa Verde! so sad these are my people haha! but so stoked because I am going to the capital with my HOMIE from the CCM HERMANA BOTCHWAY let´s gooooo!

But let´s just talk about some crazy things that happened this past week!

-So here we are just teaching a kid and his grandma and we were talking about the word of wisdom and law of chastity and the grandma started cry haha, (the spirit was that strong) haha no she started crying and telling us that she had a son that had kids before he got married (which is like normal here so i don´t know why it was a big deal for her haha) but anyway she was crying and saying how he started getting really sick mentally and ended up killing his wife. so we were kind of shook and were like oh hermana we are so sorry and then she just goes ¨venga venga¨ which means come hahah so we follow her to her backyard/patio and she takes us to this like dog cage type thing and we look inside AND THERE IS A MAN like 25 years old in the cage leaning up against the door WHAT.. and she tells us that it is her son the one that killed her wife. Like i mean yeah it was super creepy and weird but i felt safe because he was kind of scrawny so i could out run him. oh and he was just in his underwear..and was just telling us that he is hungry.

- Also yesterday was testimony meeting and MAN IT IS MY FAVORITE SUNDAY HERE IN THE REPULICA DOMINICANA! why? because the church is soooo new here so people still do things that they would do in their other churches so yesterday they cutest hermana nuñez got up and started singing I Know That My Redeemer Lives ¨Yo se que vive mi Señor¨ and then the whole congregation started joining in. and some clapping started, tears were shed, i felt like i was in a gospel choir or like a pitch perfect riff off. I almost started dropping a beat but the spirit stopped me. and like people will just randomly shout AMEN in the middle of stuff HAHAA, and when we are teaching our people they do the CRAZIEST prayers, i have probably laughed in more than I should! Some are kind of satanic so i just sing a child´s prayer in my mind when that happens! LOL

- I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!!! for reals at the beginning it was a little rough not gonna lie haha but for real everyday things just get better! yeah there are really rouuuuugh days but seriously it is so weird I am still so happy at the end of those days with disappointments! I am learning the blessings that come with having a eternal perspective, laughing, reading your scriptures, praying with all your heart, and eating some cookies!

3. Gali...we were teaching him one time and then this guy came and they started fighting and so we had to run away...he is really nice tho haha

5. Ibe y Ara! they are the best mom and daughter ever! they had a shop but then they lost it because they couldn´t pay for it but the mom told us that it is so good because she can come to church now on sundays! SHOUT OUT TO HER FINDING THE BLESSINGS IN TRIALS!
