We can´t get married

So this week was so funny I have never laughed harder in my life, the things we see, the people we are teaching, and the things we hear hahah i have never experienced anything quite like the dominican republic and these people here. We taught a few lessons with people just in their towels about to go shower hahah, every day we are having to hold out our arms and move away from these men giving us ginormous hugs haha, and we see at least 5 weaves in the street everyday hahaha. I LOVE MY LIFE

We are teaching this 12 year old boy wellington! HE IS A GEM! He lives with his 6 siblings and mom! we were teaching their family last night all together and we asked the mom if there was anything that we can do for her like clean or do the dishes or something and she just looked at us and started crying and said, “I just need your help with Wellington and my kids, we don´t have much and their papa isn´t here to help with money or teach them anything so I just need you to help give them a life of happiness!” We got to tell this whole family that even though they don´t have a dad with them and they are struggling a lot, no matter their situations they can find happiness in this gospel! 

Also we are teaching Gabriela and Victor! They are siblings and they are going to change the world! They just have the strongest testimonies! We were talking to Victor about his baptism and he told us that one day he was feeling nervous about his baptism and then we came and shared our testimonies about our own baptisms! He told us that he felt like he was going to cry and that he knew that was the spirit talking to him! He said he had to go to into the other room because he didn´t want to cry in front of his friends! TEARS! 

Oh and about the subject line hahah this 14 year old boy was joking with us saying that after our missions he is going to marry me and i was like  you are a YOUTH hahah and he turned to hna erickson and was like no i really am going to marry her! just wait. HAHAH 

I LOVE THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!

hiiii mí gente!!! literally so blessed for all the emails and love :') seriously so much happens in a week and I learn so much I don't know where to start. BUT let's start with the coolest guy my homie David A. Bednar! We listened to his talk "Character of Christ" on Sunday and wow what a savage! I was so ready to just change my whole life after that talk! The mission is not about me. I need to drop the ~Natural Man~ like it's hot and turn my thoughts outward! So this week I really tried to be more charitable and not focus on myself. I think it was good because I forgot to shave one of legs one night sooo I either am truly forgetting myself or I am just really tired and dumb hahah!  I know I wouldn't be be able to do any of this on my own... it would be impossible! We were talking to some Czech Elders last night during language study and they said the direct translation of  the hymn "I Need Thee Every Hour" is "I Can't Without You

MY PEOPLE!!!  hi okay so so much happens in one day i just cant put it into words! if i tried to explain the whole week in an email we would have about the whole harry potter series in an email. and i mean that literally because we have been experiencing some witchcraft here with our Haitian friends haha!  so we are just gonna send some pictures so show the great times here la republica dominicana!  love you all so much!
